This combo looks amazing! My only question is about oats to liquid ratio. It seems like a lot more fluid compared to oats and I’d be worried if it would be too liquidy in the morning. Is the texture thick or thin? Thanks! I’m excited to try this!

  2. The oats absorb quite a bit of liquid. The chia seeds absorb even more. It’s such a fast and refreshing way to eat healthy when the weather is warm. I hope you like them. Thanks for your comment.

This looks delicious! I noticed that you said it can be stored for up to 24 hours. Does it go “bad” if you make a larger batch, put it in individual jars and keep them in the refrigerator over a few days to decrease prep time?

    • Thanks for your comment. The oats don’t spoil, but the texture is impacted. You could always big batch prep the dry ingredients ahead of time. That would shave off a few minutes.

  4. I’ve never tried to freeze it. If you do, I would add the apples just before eating. If you try it, I’d love to hear how it worked.

    • Hi Kandace! I’m not sure how many calories, but I would assume around 300 or so. A half cup of oats is 150, and a half cup of milk is somewhere around 100, then the yogurt and chia. Everything else is pretty incremental. I hope that helps.
